I'm Really Interested

I really am looking for new music so I'm reaching out to you the reader. Besides Dave because I already know all the stuff he likes. Let's do this...if you were stuck on a tropical island with an unending supply of D batteries, a CD player, and only three albums that you could listen to for the rest of your life, what would they be? Or what three bands would you be able to listen to for the rest of your life? Please...everyone participate, even Dave.

Abba, Erasure, Vanilla Ice (his hard stuff... not his puppy rap music)

Hmm, not sure if our music tastes are similar, but some bands I like:

Deathcab for Cutie
Weezer
Switchfoot
Keane
Jack's Mannequin

All mostly mainstream stuff though.

I could recommend you a lot of killer classical music, if you're into that stuff.

ok, i don't know jared, but i also love switchfoot and could listen to them...and I don't really think they are that mainstream. and dave, are you serious? well i happen to love erasure and they are another one i could listen to. in addition to those two, i would probably also add depeche mode and tim mcgraw (sorry, but i love me a little country).

ooooh. only 3 cds sucks. If I had to choose cds that aren't as mainstream or punk (ie Strung Out, UL, etc) I pick the following albums:

-311 - From Chaos (solid piece of work)
-Gorillaz - Demon Days (always gets me dancing)
and
-Reggie & the Full Effect - Songs Not to Get Married To
(album he wrote after wife divorced him - so much range, so much emotion)

Jared...I'm right there with you on most of those bands. I don't know Jack's Mannequin though.

Greg...I need your music. I've been meaning to get that for a while.

Laura...when did you become so white? There used to be such a strong showing for rap and now it's country? I was expecting you to list The Chronic.

Karen...where have you been? Still waiting on some others...

Okay...3 bands...Unwritten Law, Strung Out, Craig's Brother...3 albums...Lost At Sea (CB)...Music From High Places (UL)...other stuff...I'm so into Incubus lately, it's crazy. Surburban Teenage Wasteland Blues (SO).
