Movie Review: Becoming Jane
Yup, I saw this last night. Not my choice, but it was alright. I didn't love it. Her life is kind of sad as far as love goes, nothing like her novels. But it was real and you've got to appreciate that authenticity. To be honest, I actually had a hard time even following the dialogue sometimes because the manner of speaking is very Austenesque, which I don't think I have a problem with if I'm reading. But when it's coupled by these thick British and Irish accents, I felt like I was trying to catch up a lot of times. So...pretty good. I do appreciate Jane, though. Very romantic, but then heart-breaking other moments. S'alright.
